The Author

About Me:

A thirty-something-years-young thinker, external processor turned writer, woman warrior who loves Jesus, her Father God, and the Holy Spirit who leads her. Born in Bancroft, Ontario, and raised in various parts of Pennsylvania, “the north country” of NY state and New York City. Currently living in Ohio with my husband where I am resting, providing therapy, and researching.

I am passionate about people, communities, diversity, and social-focused, Biblical justice. The focus of my studies is clinical therapy and research on trauma and sexual abuse within enclave religious communities. Having lived in Brooklyn/East New York for 11 years, I’d been living and doing ministry in inner-city neighborhoods. Working with the two worlds of insular religious communities and the inner city is teaching me a broader perspective of diverse human experiences.
